You’re In Good Hands…

Shadow Insurance
I few months ago I did a review on Urban Decay’s Primer Potion. It helped me realize that my eyelids weren’t the only greasy lids in the world and that I too could indulge in my love of cream eyeshadow all year long.

Well my tube dried out a bit and I decided to try something new so that I could share my thoughts with you. I had been eyeing Too Faced’s Shadow Insurance for a while so it was time to add it to the fold.

If you thought I was in love with shadow primer before…you ain’t see nothing yet. First, I’ll say that I perfer that it’s in a tube and not in a mascara like container. I feel like I’m going to get every last drop out of this bottle and I know I didn’t in the Urban Decay bottle. The other thing I like about it being in a tube is that I can squeeze the amount I want directly onto my finger or apply with a brush. Sometimes I felt that the wand in Primer Potion drags across the lids a bit, especially as the formula gets older.

The other thing that I adore about this product is that it’s even more sheer and it has an almost silky/glossy texture to it. It doesn’t appear as milky on my lids so that means the color I apply over it will stay truer. It definitely lasted all day. I wore a great emerald green Vincent Longo Eye Souffle that would’ve slid right off my lids if I put it on bare (I know because that has happened before), but it lasted through a pretty intense 40 minute Weight Loss workout on my elliptical. I went to the bathroom with my sweaty glow and gorgeous eye makeup in tact! I love this stuff!

You’re definitely in good hands.
