Let me just be blunt: Punxsutawney Phil is pissing me off. 6 more weeks of winter?! Is that Phool crazy? In DC we haven’t been hit with a lot of snow, but I just know it’s coming now that he said 6 more weeks of winter (I could really kick him, but I’m against animal abuse). So that means I need to finally get some shoes that can deal with slush and transition into spring rain – we seem to get a ton of it in DC.
Tommy Hilger has updated a shoe I’ve always known as the duck shoe and tried to give it a preppy twist with the Tommy Hilfiger Alpine shoe. My Dad used to always buy these for us when we were little and my sisters and I always resisted wearing duck shoes. They were not meant for the young fashionistas that we were even back then.
I think he’d approve of these and I’d actually wear them this time around. And if I get a pair I promise not to kick Punxsutawney Phil with them if I see him…I might just nudge him a little though…
