In yesterday’s post about Valentine’s Day gifts for children Juana asked in the comments section, “how will you be Valentine’s Day chic?” And I thought that was a great question to address.
This year for Valentine’s Day my husband and I will be on an airplane heading to Las Vegas for a little vacation. We won’t arrive in Vegas until 8:30pm, so I’m sure we’ll be eating a lovely Valentine’s Day dinner for two in the Atlanta airport (Popeye’s here we come!). If I was going out on Valentine’s Day I’d probably wear this ensemble.
Red Hot!
It’s a fun red shift dress I picked up on sale at Ann Taylor Loft and I’ve gotten lots of mileage out of it. My husband asked me to marry him on Valentine’s Day so we usually like to do something very low key and quiet. Usually pizza and a movie at home, we hate dealing with the crowds on Valentine’s Day and the overly romantic people (I don’t want to watch anyone making out at the dinner table).
Since I’m going to be travelling on Vday, I’m pretty sure that I’ll be wearing my black skinny jeans, a white short sleeve t-shirt, a cardigan of some sort (I have to be warm on the plane!), a light weight scarf and my flat boots. I’ll also throw everything I own into one of my Lesportsac bags. They’re roomy and can lay flat in my suitcase if I want to carry something smaller while on vacation. SInce Valentines Day is my favorite holiday, I’ll be celebrating it all week. I’m getting together every red item that I own to wear next week.
I’m sure you guys will have lots of great times in Vegas.
