What are your 3 favorite accessories and why?
I’m not a huge jewelry person (Although Dana, you’re totally influencing me to be more girly 
so I’d have to say my favorite accessories are my Blackberry, my iPod Touch, and my MAC Pop Mode lip gloss! I travel a lot so the music is a must. I can tune out people backstage and on planes, buses and trains… I’ve only had the Blackberry for a few months, but I’m so addicted. I used to have to go home and look on my paper desk calendar to book shows — now I can respond to emails and texts from everywhere. And Pop Mode… because its such a pretty pink, and it really works for me. I have three tubes of it right now — just in case MAC gets any funny ideas about discontinuing it. They’re good for that.
What is the one accessory you can’t live without?
Hmmm, I’d have to say the Blackberry. I didn’t know I couldn’t live without it til I left it at a club in Indianapolis month. It only took a day for me to get it back. But I went thru withdrawal so bad I literally went to sleep at like 8pm that nite so it could hurry up and be tomorrow. Then I set the alarm so I could be awake for the entire FedEx delivery window… Yeah…
What’s your style inspiration?
I don’t know if I have a style inspiration. I’ve never been one to try and keep up with style trends. Plus as a plus size girl, I can’t/shouldn’t wear a lot of the real trendy stuff. Ha ha. When I first started comedy I was definitely inspired by the slacker movement. I’ve always lived in jeans, so my accents are always tops and shoes. But where that used to mean Urban Outfitters t-shirts and Chuck Taylors on stage, now it’s a cute top or a crisp button down and a pair of boots. I wear what’s comfortable for me. So I guess I inspire my own style.
What do you splurge on?
Art. I’m a huge fan of craft fairs and flea markets. A nice piece of original artwork — especially collage or mixed media — will have me putting off all kinds of necessary bills. I can’t help myself. I love pretty things
What is your favorite gift to give?
I love to give funky, unique t-shirts. I have a collection of great ones and whenever I see a good one I think… who would like that and I usually get two?!?!
What are you currently obsessed with?
Other than my neverending obsession with writing fresh new material, anyone who knows me and/or reads my blog can attest to the fact that I’m also pretty fanatical about the Philadelphia Eagles. Not sure when this will go up, but I’m hoping we’ll still be in the Superbowl hunt by then. How they do on Sundays literally determines my mood for the week.
