Monday’s Manicure…

Happy Monday! I have to admit, I hate Mondays but I do enjoy manicures, so I always hope they’ll perk me up. Today’s manicure is what I painted my nails for my Las Vegas nuptials.

Before I left for Vegas I popped into the CVS Beauty 360 and grabbed a bottle of Pop Beauty Nail Glam in ‘O Boy’ and then later on that night I was in Walgreens and saw the Sally Hansen display and picked up the Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in silver – I thought I could have a little fun and try something different with my manicure.

You might notice there’s a little silver heart on my ring finger. That was specifically for my wedding day and I’ll admit that doing my own nail art was a bit awkward. I think it’s a cute idea but definitely something that you need help from a friend in order to achieve something nice and polished on your nails. Otherwise you get a little heart that kind of looked like a lumpy silver blurb on your nails. It’s the thought that counts and not the actual design, right?

The Pop Beauty polish was very nice. It was a soft pinky nude and for me that’s key. I can’t take nudes that are too beige, they don’t work with my darker skin. It was a very saturated creme color polish and two coats were defintely all I needed to achieve the look above. I’ll definitely use this color again.

I also thought I’d share what came in the mail on Friday!

My polishes from the Zoya Polish Exchange and I selected several of the colors you guys suggested (and if you’re interested in the polish exchange it was so popular Zoya decided to extend it!). So stay tuned to see what these all look like. Also, I’m adding subcategories to Monday’s Manicure so now you can browse by polish colors. Genius, right? Why didn’t I think of it sooner? I don’t know.
