Good morning ladies, happy Monday! I’m a bit tired this morning after doing college tours and running all over DC with my cousin and sister-in-law but I loved every minute of it with them! On to this Monday’s Manicure, we’re heading for a pseudo-neutral that will be great against spring’s bright florals and blend nicely with pastels.
Essie Island Hopping is a blend of muted pink and purple – I call it murple (don’t ask me why…). Essie describes this color as a rum raisin, I don’t think that’s the best description of it, but no one asked me. The color is a creme with a glossy finish and with all Essie shades I’ve tried it wears beautifully. I love it because it’s a little bit bolder than doing a brown or going with a lavender and it blended well with my wardrobe choices. I’m not sure how it would look on lighter skin tones, but I’d be interested to know if anyone else has tried it and what your thoughts are.

Looks really pretty on you. I love neutral nails. It makes even stubby fingers look long and elegant.
