Hello Monday. Today’s manicure may look a bit like deja vu but I promise you it’s a bit different.

Essie has a new limited edition collection called North Fork that is full of blue and I love it. So far I’ve tried Greenport (above) and Sag Harbor (below) and I’ll try to swatch Shelter Island next. I think this collection is for the folks who think they can’t wear blue or green nail polish at 30+ but you totally can with these colors. And for those of you under 30, you’ll still love the color.
Greenport is gorgeous to me and I was surprised by the compliments I got on this color last week. It’s such a soft and soothing color but not too pastel or chalky. It’s a perfect sea green and I didn’t want to take it off. Some of you may think this reminds you of China Glaze’s For Audrey but to me it’s a bit greener and a bit softer. For Audrey wasn’t my favorite on my fingertips but Greenport became and instant love and I thought the formula applied beautifully. It’s a soft creme polish with lots of gloss and I don’t know if I can rave enough about it.

Sag Harbor is a mix between a pale blue and a dove grey…and you know how I feel about grey. There’s also a slight sheen or shimmer to this formula. I will admit, this color didn’t apply as evenly as Greenport did, but it wasn’t horrible. In order to get full color I applied 3 thin coats to my nails and that seemed to do it.
This is a limited edition collection, so I’d suggest you grab it fast if blues are your thing.

Oh, I like this color Sag Harbor a lot.. I have not seen it so far and I am in NY… hope to see it somewhere… I really think it will look great with my new pastel hippie look, which I am aiming for… I have washed out jeans and wear them under a recycled T-shirt skirt and pair that look with the most pastel color of the Converse sneakers, that light yellow color. Hey, I guess I got a complete look now

Hi georgeous,
Thanks for telling me about this colour! It looks different on your hand here than it did on your toes on lucky toes. But its super cute! So far I haven’t seen it here in BC but I am on my way to a salon supplier as we speak so I’m gunna go check! Thanks again!
