Wow, it’s already Friday? I swear May is zipping by me a bit too fast. Where did spring go?! I have had an event packed week and it’s just going to get crazier. Last night I had fun at the Hello Stiletto Shoe Club happy hour in DC. I will definitely let you DC ladies know of the next local event and you should definitely come out. It was a great way to have a few drinks and show off your best high heels with girlfriends. It was definitely fun.
Now on to today’s fabulousness…it’s the Michelle Obama edition.

As soon as I saw this cover I thought I MUST HAVE THAT CLEAR BELT! Turns out it was a bit out of my price range so I searched and searched for an alternative and today I’m sharing the two options that I found.
French Connection plastic belt for $28.
And the BeltIsCool.com plastic belt for $9.99.
I will admit, the BeltIsCool.com version is the one I own because I found it first (mine is white) and the name of the website makes me laugh. BUT, it’s not a bad belt at all for $10! Every time I belt my cardigan, I feel a little bit like Michelle Obama. I think the clear belt is a fresh alternative to the heavier black patent belts we’ve been seeing and for spring/summer it’s definitely a fresh alternative. It’s a nice twist on the traditional and I love that Michelle Obama has a style of her own and seems to always wear what she loves. So now I’m sharing a bit of that with you.
