I have a request! I am expecting my first child and my wonderful friends are planning an amazing shower for me. In total, I have 9 shower hostesses! They have worked so hard to make the shower a special occasion for me and I would really like to get them special hostess/thank you gifts to show my love and appreciation. I was so impressed with the blog you wrote about the gift you gave your bridesmaids (personalized tennis shoes) so I thought I’d ask you for help with choosing gifts for my shower hostesses. Unfortunately (or fortunately), since my husband and I are preparing for our new arrival and all the costs associated with this wonderful addition to our family, my budget won’t allow me to purchase 9 pairs of personalized tennis shoes (as much as I’d like to). I would really appreciate nice, creative, budget friendly ideas!! Thanks!

You’ve seen my digital DWJ on the right side of the blog, well, she’s by a company called Design-Her Gals and I think it’s such a cute concept. You can create a cartoon version of each of your girlfriends throwing you the shower. Dress them like they would on a average day, add accessories (even men) to them, even find their haircut! Then I’d suggest that you add them to a Design-Her Gals Mug!
It’s not only personal and thoughtful, but cute and useful. They also do note cards, stationary, there’s a lot that you could do for each girl. I did this one Christmas for my girls and then filled the mugs with teas that fit their personality (email me if you want to do that too…I can point you in the right direction). Personalization always makes gift a better gift to give.

Agreed, Design-Her Gals is great. One of my friends printed personalised recipe cards as a leaving gift when she moved away and I love them (and her!)
