I will admit, occasionally I get stuck in a beauty rut and don’t explore past my comfort zone. In terms of foundation or tinted moisturizer I’m a Bobbi Brown or Prescriptives girl all day every day…until Cover FX came into my life. I’m now obsessed with SkinTint FX.
I’ve been talking to the folks at Cover FX on Twitter and they told me to find Wanda when I got to the Makeup Show. Wanda is Cover FX’s Makeup Pro and she’s got great personality. I was so excited to meet her! She gave me a sample of skin tint (they were out of my color to purchase…DAMMIT) and I’ve been scraping the sample to get every last drop! I don’t want this goodness to go away. Wanda immediately knew my shade and what would work best.
But why am I so hooked? Even in a tiny pot the Cover FX SkinTint has a slight shimmer to it, that when applied gives my skin that natural dewy glow I’ve been searching for. It covers my small dark sparks and makes my skin look like it’s glowing (my girl Erin even asked me what I was wearing the other day…that’s proof enough when your friends notice). Then to top it off Wanda applied Radiant FX in Golden Bronze on top of the SkinTint FX…WOW.
It’s a shimmering, luminescent mineral powder that I’m pretty sure has released my inner bronzed goddess. I’ve never applied makeup like this before. It feels like nothing else and looks fantastic. It’s makeup but it looks like my skin, only the best version ever. And I’m picky about foundation/tinted moisturizer because that’s the most important step in your makeup application. It sets the foundation for everything else you’re putting on your face and Cover FX has truly blown me away. I’m totally sold.
And if you’re in the DC area, Cover FX folks will be at Sephora in Georgetown this Friday and Tyson’s Corner this Saturday. GO SEE THEM! I promise, you will not be disappointed! I’m going to buy my full size bottle of SkinTint FX on Friday! Update: The May 29th in Georgetown has been cancelled & they rescheduled the Tysons Corner event for June 14th from 12pm – 6pm. So mark your calendars and be there!
