I had given my nails a break for the last week or so because with Monday’s Manicure comes a lot of nail painting on my part. I paint my nails two to three times a week in order to have enough images for a couple of weeks of Monday’s Manicure (the things I do for you guys). I know I probably need a proper manicure but it’s not in my budget right now, so I decided to skip nail polishing for a week or so to let the nail hardener do it’s magic on my digits, and it did.
So after not having a wild blue, green, purple or something pink on my nails I thought what screams summer to me? ORANGE!
And that’s how I got to OPI Brights Power. This color came out in 2008 in the Mod About Brights collection and I stumbled upon it at an Ulta recently. It’s a great bright orange creme that’s perfection for a hot summer day. What is it about bright nails that scream summer? Something about this nail color in the middle of December just wouldn’t seem right to me.
And if you’re wondering what I’m wearing on my toes…I paired my manicure with a pedicure of China Glaze Shower Together because orange and blue are such a fabulous contrasting color combination. I like my mani/pedis to really battle against each other.
