I was interested in trying Tarte’s Natural Cheek Stain for a while but it was one of those products that I had a feeling I might not like. I just wasn’t sure. I’d been so consistent with my blush choices that I really wasn’t interested in changing and I was afraid that the color wouldn’t be strong enough for my skin tone, but I put my fears aside and decided to take the plunge.
First I have to admit that I giggle when I apply it because it kind of reminds me of a push pop because you press the blush up through the tube. It’s a jelly like solid and you can swirl the stain around the apples of your checks and build up the color to your liking. I picked ‘Blushing Bride’ a very sheer plum shade. It doesn’t dry super quickly so I have time to blending the color into my cheeks before I decide if I need another coat.
After using it for the last month or so (it’s definitely a part of my simplified beat the heat beauty routine) I’m mad at myself for not trying it sooner. I like how it feels when you apply it and I love the very soft scent to it. I think I like how it feels because Tarte has so many natural things in their products and that’s always a positive part of their line.
So I faced my fears! What’s the latest product you tried that you wish you had tried sooner?

Really? I think I remember you mentioning that on Twitter. I’m surprised because of all the good stuff that’s in it! Hmmm…interesting.

I used to be obsessed with Blushing Bride a couple of summers ago. I put it on whenever I went to the beach and it lasted all day. I haven’t worn it for a while. Thanks for reminding me about it!
