Day 2 of Perfecting Your Pout and I’m switching over to pencils. Sometimes you just want full, precise color and only a pencil will do. With the hot trend for the fall being pink or purple lip color, I thought about the pencils I’d want to use.

When thinking of using purple on the lips it needs to be sheer and Lipstick Queen Chinatown Glossy Pencils is perfection. This jumbo pencil comes in what appear to be very vibrant shades, that glide on like the best glosses out there – sheer and glossy. I love Mystery because gives your lips that glossy just finished eating a grape Popsicle look. The other plus, it’s huge jumbo Crayon size. It’s just so convenient and easy. You’ll definitely keep this one in your purse all year round.

If you want to go bold and you want your color to be sealed on, I MUST suggest Make Up For Ever Aqua Lip Waterproof Lipliner Pencil. I picked up their hot pink and my lips look fabulous. You can fill in your lips very precisely with a great color and it lasts and lasts. It also isn’t a dry pencil, so it doesn’t drag across your lips – and that’s one of the things I hate about regular lip pencils.
If you’re on a budget but want to experiment with bold color, I’d suggest you pick up Wet and Wild Creme Lipliner in Fuschia. An inexpensive lip liner in a hot pink. Of all the drugstore brands I searched, this was the boldest and brightest of the pinks and it’s so on trend. Plus, if you really aren’t sure that vivid pink hues will work for you, you won’t be upset if you don’t use this pencil up.
So what are your favorite lip pencils/crayons?

This is a great post. I’ll admit, I’m a bit of a lip liner-phobe after some serious missteps in my teen years. However, that Lipstick Queen pencil looks great with some vivid colors.
