Today we’re talking sheer lipstick, one of my favs. It’s not a gloss and not a lipstick, it’s truly a hybrid and I kind of like hybrids. What I love about sheers are that you can usually apply them without looking at a mirror and I love not having to apply lip liner or use a lip brush for precision. I just want to swipe it and go.
One of my absolute favorite sheers is Three Custom Color Lip Brights. My favorite color is Palladium, a gorgeous hot pink splash of color on the lips. I know the colors look incredibly bright in the tube, but on the lips it’s just the right hint of color. I also love that this lipstick is so soft like a balm, you can definitely apply it directly out of the tube.
I don’t like to say that there are ever universally flattering colors but there are rare gems that truly are. Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey is that color. It looks like a Lincoln Park After Dark kind of deep plum color, but somehow on your lips it looks like your lips only better.
Looking for your drugstore fix? Then I suggest Boots No 7 Sheer Temptation Lipstick is perfection. Creamy and just the right amount of color are all I need in a sheer and this one definitely fits the bill.
