Oh Naughty Monkey, why are your shoes so darn fun?
For a while I’ve been into the trend of folded over boots and I think the Naughty Monkey Hide Out is one of my favorites. I like the fold over ankle boot because you can really show it off and this pumpkin colored suede is perfection!
How would I wear it? You’ve got a couple of options:
- With leggings: Something skinny and sleek to allow you to highlight such a cute boot.
- With a dress and tights: I think We Love Colors Tights in Light Orange would match the color of these boots pretty well. Pair the tights and boots with a contrasting color palette like navy and cream and you’ve got a great pop of color to help brighten up your winter wardrobe.
These boots are not meant to be covered up, so I wouldn’t even think about covering them with pants – not an option. I so wish these were in my closet as of last week. Sigh…

I love the idea of matching tights. That would be adorable.

@Nikia, I’ve been matching my tights and shoes a lot. I like how it makes me look a little longer/leaner. I’d love these boots to wear with my full printed denim skirt. I soooo want these boots in my closet!

I am obsessed with the fold-over boots! And I absolutely love the statement color of these in particular. For the office, I’d totally wear these with a dark gray 3/4 length billow-sleeved cowl-neck dress, black patent belt and textured tights with an infinity scarf or chain necklace to compliment the boots. And of course they’re on sale I see! Danger, danger!
