Monday is here. I’m beat and home today due to a sore back and a sleepless night after a crazy weekend. Oh and the husband ran his first 10k and finished in 64 minutes! WOOHOO! It was cold out there but I cheered him on and he was so proud of not stopping and I was proud of him for reaching his goal. YAY!
Okay, on to this week’s manicure. Today I’m bringing you Milani’s Rad Purple, part of their special neon collection. Milani is a drugstore brand and I grab some of their stuff when it goes on sale (buy 1 get 1 half off) and I’d heard great things about their release of 3D holographic and Neon nail polish. If you’re afraid to try a neon start with a purple because they’re never shockingly bright. They are definitely your safest neon choice.
I thought this neon purple was a great video purple that leaned more on the dark magenta side. It took 3 coats to get it this deep in color and the polish is fairly thin but applies smoothly. When it dries it looks fairly flat so you need a nice glossy top coat to help give the color some more vibrancy to it. As always, I use my Seche Vite fast drying top coat to do the job {I really do love the stuff}.
