Lately, I’ve been in a good mood. For no reason at all. There are things in life that could frustrate me or bring me down BUT I’m choosing to count my blessings and be happy. And I have a lot of things to be happy about. Right now I’m so delighted that it is almost spring. After 3 blizzards this winter, I’m ready for the warmth and sunshine and DC has had a bit of pre-summer weather lately with record high temps. Of course the temps are going to drop back down to the sixties and we’ll go through 2 months of spring before summer hits of full blast. This is the time of year that I love because it’s warm and beautiful during the day and then a bit crisp at night. It’s perfect trench coat weather. I own 2 trenches, 1 blue one with a hood (because you need one when you get spontaneous spring showers) and 1 classic beige that I always get compliments on. I love a bold and bright trench which is why I’m smitten with Old Navy’s Belted Trench in New Zealand Green.
The trench does come in a classic beige and a bright white but why not go green? The lighter colors will pick up every single speck of dirt and the green is a gorgeous jewel tone that will perk you up on a rainy day. The other great thing about trench coats, whenever you put one on they make your outfit look ten times better than what it did before. Just wearing jeans and a T-shirt? Toss a trench coat on and you’ll look more polished, instantly. I love a great trench, LOVE!

That’s a fabulous Kelly Green color. I have a light pink trench from Ralph Lauren that I love- makes me feel extra feminine when I wear it!
