Monday’s Manicure | Essie Clam Bake

essie clam bakeHappy Monday all. I thought I’d start this week off with a bit of a vibrant creme red-orange color for this Monday. Essie’s Clam Bake is an interesting color and a great summer pedicure color.

I say it’s interesting because it applies almost sheer, this is three coats on my nails (sorry, it’s a bit messy). You can see a bit of the white of my nail tip underneath the polish even with three coats BUT the color is so vibrant it really isn’t that sheer, I guess it’s just the formula.

When I’m not in the mood for something crazy in the green or blue family, I go for reds and deep oranges, they’re colors I know will always look good with my skin tone. Especially as I get a bit browner for the summer. This color might be my pedicure staple for the warm months, I haven’t decided yet.

Love the color! Not a fan of having to paint on 3 coats though!

@Roni that’s kind of how I was feeling too. The color is great and vibrant but oddly sheer. Oh well.
