Today I thought I’d share one of my favorite outfits. Friday was BLAZING hot so when I got up that morning my only thought when I was picking out my outfit was that it had to be light and airy. So I knew white would be involved and a skirt. Easy.
Remember when Isaac Mizrahi had a line of clothes for Target? The 1 item I bought and coveted was this white skirt with a huge poppy on the front. I instantly fell in love with it and had to have it. It’s a little long for me, so I tend to wear it higher up and belt it so that it has the right proportions for my shape and size (it’s hard being short sometimes). I’ve paired this skirt with a yellow tee before but all that was clean was my white v neck, so that’s what I went with. Add my nude peep toes and a pretty heart necklace and I’ve taken my casual Friday outfit up a notch. Good thing I was cute on Friday since our Board of Directors were in the office. It’s always a bonus to look good when the bosses are in town.
To me this outfit is effortless and easy but I get so many compliments on it that I’m always taken off guard. My BFF Steven made a surprise visit to my office and Friday and said he had to take a picture of me because I was just too cute! HA! I know for some of you, this outfit is very bold because of the huge flower. To me, it’s no different than wearing an all over floral print, same impact but with 1 HUGE flower. I love this skirt, it makes me feel like such a girl.
So tell me, what is your go to outfit when the temperatures are blazing outside?

I love this look but you’re right it’s a bit bold for me. I know I shouldn’t be scared of the giant flower but I am. I would see this skirt and think oh I love this but I wouldn’t buy it because I’d be afraid of how it would love on me. You’ll slowly making me want to step out of my comfort zone. Slowly but surely.

I think your BFF was lucky to stop by and catch you in such a pretty outfit.
He was wise to capture the moment with pictures so that neither of you will forget it.
Thanks for sharing.
