I didn’t post yesterday, which was not intentional but I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. I got stuck at my hair dressers for an hour before she arrived. Waited 30 more minutes just to get an 11 minute haircut and go back home. Ugh…I hate that but I have to say I love how she cuts my hair. She hasn’t left me waiting in a while so I’m not going to complain too much.
So on to my outfit post for today. The picture above is in the Smithsonian Museum of American History and I’m standing under a representation of the flag. I just liked how sparkly it was and wanted to take a picture.

I even got an outfit photo of KBJ for the day too! Isn’t he cute? I kept telling him to smile with his eyes and make love to the camera, I’m pretty sure the tourists walking by us thought I was crazy.

So this was kind of a date with the husband day. He wanted to do something together so we saw the First Ladies exhibit and popped over to the Natural History museum to say hello to the Hope Diamond and see the butterflies exhibit. Afterwards we stopped for some frozen yogurt at Tangy Sweet (if you want to see the rest of the pics I took that day you can find them on my Flickr account. I did a bit of a mix that day, I originally threw on a turquoise jersey dress from New York & Co (they create a line of them every summer and I buy 1 or 2 and wear them all summer long) but KBJ suggested a cardigan because the museums are freezing. Smart man. I threw on what is becoming my favorite cardigan since it’s so loose and free. I liked the grey and white stripes against the bright turquoise. The scarf is a Coach scarf I’ve had for a while and I had originally tied in my hair (I was feeling a bit mod) but it kept sliding off in the car so I slipped it on the strap of my bag. Add a huge crystal heart necklace from Forever 21 and my favorite Frye sandals and you’ve got a day at the museums kind of outfit.
A few more of my favorite pics from the day below.

What I’m wearing: Dress, New York & Co | Cardigan, Marshalls | Necklace, Forever 21 | Scarf, Coach Outlet | Bag, Courtesy of LeSportsac | Sandals, Frye

I love your hair. I wish I could pull off a short ‘do! You got the right face for it!
I want to visit the Smithsonian again. It’s been years and I was really young and didn’t really appreciate it.

@Alissa You know I used to think I couldn’t do short hair and then I realized my haircuts were getting shorter and shorter. So I just had her cut it all off and I kind of love it. Sometimes I consider going all the way with a pixie cut but my hair grows so fast it would be a lot of maintenance!
