How do the weekends go by so quickly? I’m starting off the week with a short and simple outfit post.
I wore this outfit out to celebrate the birthday of my BFF, Jessica, from Design Wonderland. We were going over to Busboys & Poets for a dinner with girlfriends and it was sweltering hot that day. I bought this dress from Macy’s 3 or 4 years ago and it is one of the few times I’ve ever paid full price for something in Macy’s because I loved it that much (and Macy’s always has a sale, so why pay full price?). I love the bold graphic print, I love that when it’s not belted it’s an a line, mod shape. I also love that it has pockets!
Unfortunately, what I don’t love is that the pleating detail at the top of the dress is on the front and back and it makes the back of the dress sit a bit funky over my butt. Something I did not notice when I tried the dress on, but I love it so much I just leave it as is. It’s just such a vibrant dress, I can’t help but love it.
Since the dress bunches a bit in the back I find that I like it more when I belt it, so my clear belt was the perfect choice. I decided to pair the dress with a pair of my favorite T-strap wedges, amber colored bangle and my kick ass studded satchel (I adore this no name bag from Marshalls). I polished the entire look off with some serious black liquid liner that I winged out at the edges and teal liner on the bottom lash line. A fun little outfit for a night out with the girls.
