Maybe it’s because I was listening to Jill Scott last night but I’ve got “It’s Love” stuck in my head when I think about these Marc by Marc Jacobs 606850 Ankle Boot. I normally don’t blog about very high end pieces or things that go over $150 because they aren’t very realistic for my life or budget, but damn I’m in love with this boots.
I saw these while I was in Bloomingdales a few weeks ago, I was waiting for my cousin so we could see Eat Pray Love and I always end up in the shoe department of a store. These boots called my name, so I tried them on and that was probably my first mistake because now I can’t stop thinking about them.
I think I love them because they blend a chukka boot with clog details and they blend them so beautifully. It has a wood tone synthetic sole with a bit of rubber grip on the bottom that makes them super comfortable and the upper leather is so deliciously soft. Have I mentioned that I love them?
I used to have a pair of chukka boots with a heel in high school and in college, so it’s a trend that I love making another comeback. You can wear these with jeans or pair them with tights and a dress/skirt. Barneys even has them in bronze! A bit more bold than in black but still just as gorgeous.
The only thing I don’t love about them is the price, $400. So I will drool and lovingly look at them online wishing they could be mine (tear).
So to help make me feel better, please tell me about something you want but that’s too far out of your price range. Please tell me I’m not crazy.

Oh my, everything I want is currently out of my price range! But right now I’m really obsessing over these Gucci loafers at Bluefly! http://www.bluefly.com/Gucci-light-grey-suede-bamboo-detail-loafers/cat870092/308823101/detail.fly

Oh those are nice! Why do all the good things have to be so ridiculously expensive?!

Sigh. I ran into this about 2 weeks ago:

And I have been thinking about it EVER SINCE. $525, for a handbag? Everyone I know would kill me :/

BUT a handbag could be an investment. I tend to say splurge on the bag because it will last even longer than the shoes. Yes, I’m a bad influence.

Those boots are so cute! They are just perfect for fall!
For me, I would say the Vivienne Westwood Pirate Boots. I’ve been in love with these boots since forever and I am none to close to buying them at nearly $600 bucks. Oh and just about any pair of Ann Demeulemeester shoes/boots.

@Sheena I mean, why do fabulous things have to break the bank? I have yet to find a suitable replacement for these boots but if I do they will get bought !

Hehehe, I’m on a budget too, but I will usually buy a classic item like that if I really want it, I mean, they are under 200.00 and the cost per wear would be really low. Should I mention, I am the worse possible friend to shop with though because I can talk myself or anyone else into a good buy
. I would just forgo all my other splurges for the month. Especially the little stuff that would probably add up to the shoes in the first place. Like food runs and drug store visits.
I’m lemming for the Gucci Lola sweater boots for 990.00. I definitely cannot pull this one off unless they are still around by Christmas time. Even then that’s a stretch of my budget!
