I’m so delinquent with my {Swoon} Lists, I know…who knows if I’ll keep this up next year, but I try to do a monthly recap of what happened the month before. This is really for new folks, or folks that may have missed something great and fun. So what was I swooning over in August?

1. Perfecting Your Pout: There are lots of great lipsticks out there and I laid out what are some of the hottest and latest high end and low end splurges for your kisser.
2. Vibrating Mascara: If you’ve been curious about vibrating mascaras you may want to check out my review comparing 1 high priced vibrating mascara and 1 drugstore brand pulse mascara. You might be surprised.
3. A new ticker for your wrist: I kind of fell in love with a brand of watches I had never discovered. It’s just too cute for words.
4. Hot Heels: Fall is all about gorgeous heels with beautiful details and sumptuous fabrics. You’ll definitely want one of these picks.
5. How To Accessorize: And I started a new instructional series on how to accessorize particular outfits. I hope you like it and will email me what you want me to talk about next!

Okay, so that was August in a nutshell. Hopefully I’ll get September up and running way faster.

As always, I’m slightly late with my monthly round up but it’s that time again to go over a few highlights from the month before on the blog. It’s an easy way for you to catch up or get to know me if you’re new to The Art of Accessories. So last month…

• How to beat the heat: I showed you how to stay cool and dry during the sweltering summer months with my favorite beauty products. Use these in your beauty routine and you’ll be picture perfect all day.
• How to personalize your jewelry: I got lots of feedback on Twitter and in comments about a personalized signet ring I discovered online. I still want one, don’t you?
• I admitted that I’m half werewolf: I took a leap of faith in hoping you all would still love me and talked about my hairy legs and how I cope when it’s a full moon.
• My Obsession: The cat is finally out of the bag. I’m obsessed with watches, specifically Pop Swatches. There, I said it, it’s out there. Don’t judge me.

I know, we’re halfway through June and I’m just doing my {Swoon} List from May. I’ve been busy, what can I say? I need to take a break from regular accessories blogging to talk about the ultimate accessory…a gorgeous man.

I don’t know if any of you noticed this last year in January, but Maxwell was a model for the Gap.

Imagine my shock and awe when I went into the Gap to buy my husband a sweater and I was greeted by that gorgeous billboard. I had to control the urge to ask the cashier if I could take it off of the wall.

So why am I bringing up this gorgeous piece of milk chocolate? Because he’s FINALLY dropping an album and his first single Pretty Wings makes me wish I could be a pillow in the video (below).
