I have a request! I am expecting my first child and my wonderful friends are planning an amazing shower for me. In total, I have 9 shower hostesses! I’m going to a few weddings starting in April. Thanks for the question! It is wedding season and don’t you hate having to find something to wear? At least you’ve got your uniform down (and I may copy you) but I can definitely help you accessorize.

Since you said girly and colorful I went with pink and ruffle details. I love those heels by Poetic License. They scream girly and they’ll be stable enough for dancing at the reception. I thought the Kate Spade bracelet was fun but a nice detail and the little Iman Global Chic clutch is big enough to carry your essentials (I’m currently reviewing it for the blog, so more details to come).

Did you know that March is DVT Awareness Month? Well it is and if you don’t know what DVT stands for it means Deep Vein Thrombosis. DVT is a blood clot, usually originating in the deep veins of the leg – it’s a serious condtion and my sister Helen has it.

We joke about her clot now because it affects her everyday life so much (I mean if you don’t laugh you’ll cry, right?) and we refer to it as if it is a person. So it was kind of funny when she asked me last week to help her find a better looking Medic Alert bracelet because (as she put it) “the clot needs bling too!” So that is my woe for today because I thought there may be other readers who have other medical conditions that require a Medic Alert bracelet but want one with some pizazz too!

Dear DWJ,
I know winter is almost over but after seeing Confessions of a Shopaholic I’m OBSESSED with getting a pair of colorful short leather gloves. I have a white full length coat that’s kind of swingy like Becky’s in the movie. Any color would really pop against the coat, but I just can’t seem to find any colorful gloves. Help?!?

I was obsessed with those gloves too! I thought they stood out so nicely and was searching for a pair for myself!

My favorites were the Forzieri Leather Gloves. They come in a wide variety of colors (the purple is my current favorite) and they look like they would have a nice slim cut to them. These were the best colorful leather gloves I could find at a reasonable price. I think they’re totally shopaholic worthy.
