Last weekend when I went to the National Harbor I popped in to the Fossil store with my husband because we are both obsessed with watches. I don’t discriminate when it comes to watches, I have high end and low end. It’s really all about the design. The watch that I fell in love with was the Fossil Stella Faux Tortoise Glitz watch.

The Stella series has several watch bands that you can see through the color and it was hard to pick just one. I’m a fan of tortoise shell, it always makes everything look so smart, but they also had a gorgeous
teal and a magenta that were calling my name. Jess immediately gravitated towards the faux cream colored horn version which made me realize there is a color combination for everyone.

I was tempted to grab up 1 or 2 watches because they’re under $100 but my budget was on my mind and I stayed strong! Sigh…why am I not independently wealthy?

Here’s the reason why I love Twitter, brands show you what’s hitting the shelves as soon as they hit their websites. I love it! I happened to see Seychelles Shoes tweet {@SeychellesShoes on Twitter} about new additions to the spring line and I fell in love with everything they were tweeting about.

What I want in my shoe closet to transition into spring is the Seychelles Mamie bootie in light grey. Sometimes I don’t want to let go of my winter boots, but I know I need to lighten it up as the weather gets warmer. This is the perfect option. It’s a hybrid between a heel and a bootie. I love the scalloped edges and how the shoe dips so deep in the front. Plus the soft grey is a great neutral option that will pair with absolutely everything I have in my closet. These would be absolutely beautiful with a full skirt and cardigan on a breezy spring day. Ah! They are so beautiful!  But what do you think?

What do I want this Wednesday?

FOR THIS DAMN SNOW TO STOP!

snOMG I am over it, done, finished, I quit, I give up.

I realized I’ve been so consumed by snow and cabin fever that I hadn’t done a post for today because in all honesty all I want is for this snow to stop. I woke up this morning to another blizzard on top of the 20 inches or so already blanketing my neighborhood and crippling my city. My boss already said to me, “I don’t know if I’ll ever see you again.” HA! It’s that bad folks. It’s that bad. And to make it worse for me, my back went out and I’m sick (I blame my husband constantly opening the front door to stare at the snow getting me ill).

So while I’m stuck inside today I’ll try to pull myself away from my window to stop looking at snow and see if I can come up with a few posts. If not…forgive me.

I don’t mean to complain. I’m very happy that I’ve been losing weight, working out and eating healthy. Unfortunately, that means that a lot of my clothes are starting not to fit, specifically pants and jeans. I can get by on dresses and a few of my skirts I saved from skinnier days, but my small collection of jeans is starting to sag and bag in not cute places…sigh.

My favorite fit are the Calvin Klein Straight Skinny Fit Rinse Jeans, I own them in a {sagging} dark rinse and {sagging} dark black. I used to love tucking these into knee high or wearing with cute ballet flats for a work Friday. Now they sag around my  boots and look slightly off. When they’re the right size, they fit me to perfection and make my butt look amazing.

I need a part-time job just to keep myself in clothes! I guess there could be worse dilemmas. Right?

I blame Twitter for this what I want this Wednesday. Specifically I blame my Twitter soulmate, @theb_word, Brandy for showing me the Steve Madden Melin. (Brandy and I realize we love a lot of the same things AND I love the fact that she works for Shoes.com).

This is a sassy little oxford. I love my high heeled oxfords that I’ve had for the last 2 years but I know that flat oxfords are going to be a huge trend for the next year. I haven’t been in love with the flat black or dark brown pairs I’ve seen, only the ones with great colors or textures are grabbing my attention and these silver metallic ones are exactly that little bit of pizazz that I’ve been searching for.

Whether I wear them with a skirt and black tights or add a little oomph to my jeans and a white T-shirt, these are the pair that I want, need, and must have. So are these too wild for you? Or are they right up your alley?
