I’m a fashion junkie. I’ve always been sucked into beauty, shoes, handbags and clothes…oh, the clothes. I was a little sad that I didn’t go to New York Fashion Week this year, but with live streaming, instantly uploaded images and Twitter I never felt out of the loop. So today I’m going to share with you a image from a show that made me fall in love with fashion all over again and to me, that’s fabulousness at the highest level.
This is one of the fabulously feminine and flirty pieces from Isaac Mizrahi’s spring 2010 that he streamed live from his website (images came up a few hours later on the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week site, but click the other link to watch the show for yourself). A gorgeous pink sequin shift dress – a delightful fun spin on a classic that made me smile the moment I saw it. Women’s Wear Daily described the collection as Upbeat Nostalgia (Isaac Mizrahi RTW Spring 2010 – WWD.com), I just call it perfection.
Most of what I saw on Mizrahi’s runway made me smile and feel so special for being a girl. His collection was delicate, ruffled, fun, sparkly and had that dash of Isaac Mizrahiness that I think everyone needs in their wardrobe. Although I’m sure this dress will be way out of my budget, I know that it definitely something that will be printed out and added to my inspiration board for seasons to come.
I had a fantastic week everyone and I hope to see you back here on Monday! Have a fabulousness filled weekend.
