Last week when I did the post on How To Accessorize with Belts I had a few comments asking about where to buy belts for curvier girls. I didn’t want any readers left out, so I went to THE Curvy Fashionista, Marie Denee {@marieedenee on Twitter} for some advice and she’s a guest blogger today! Enjoy! xoxo, dwj

Every fashionista loves her accessories, whether they fashion a form or a function, accessories are the icing to the proverbial cake. This rule does not elude the Curvy Fashionista, although finding specific pieces to top off one’s wardrobe seems to elude her, especially when it comes to plus size belts.

Plus size belts, whether it be a sash, studded, classic, or fashion forward, they do exist! It may require a bit more sifting through the noise of the internet (where we are mostly relegated to) BUT  they do exist!

Through some research, I have unearthed some jewels to adorn those fabulous midsections of ours, to complete our look:

CarmaKoma: The Danish Duo behind the brand deliver a sophisticated rocker edge to plus size fashion,  and deliver to the US! Launched last year, CarmaKoma continues to stun and woo us with their sharp perspective on fashion and style! My favorite belt from them is the Rollercoaster Belt (#1).

Curvaceous Boutique: This online store also fashions a Virginia location! Committed to “making our customers feel “exceptional” and to give them a sense of pride when they are shopping in our store,” the Curvaceous Boutique offers an eclectic selection for the daring Curvy Fashionista. They have an array of belts here in bold colors, and my two favorites from this store are the Teal Belt (#2) and the Brown/Gold Two Sided Plus Belt (#3).

Evans: Across the pond is plus size retail giant, Evans. No stranger to plus size fashion, with the latest Beth Ditto collection, Chaka Kahn holiday launch, and the famed Crystal Renn feature, Evans continues to deliver fast fashion to the confident plus size fashionista. Their belt selection is intense with over 25 pieces to choose from, and I have to highlight my two favorites: Raspberry Moc Croc and the Black Jeans Belt

Igigi: This San Francisco company, Igigi, has recently launched their newest belt collection right in time for the holidays! If you want to add a bit of glitz and glam to your wardrobe, this is the Curvy Fashionista’s favorite, the Black/White Jeweled Belt(#4).

These designers and retailers are only a few of those who fashion belts for the plus size woman, however, they offer different lifestyle options to match the many moods we often have when we choose to accessorize to maximize our curves!

Keep it Curvy!

And to get more curvy fashion, definitely check out!
