Remember last week in the Beauty Challenge (which I’m going to do monthly now instead of weekly, it’s a bit easier for me to manage that way) when I said my skin was freakishly clear? Well a few months ago on a Costco run I picked up a huge box of Olay Regenerist Micro Derm Cleansing Cloths (the Costco version doesn’t say Regenerist but they’re the same wipes) and I’ve been using them twice a day every day since late December. Duh! That might be why my skin has been so great.
When Prescriptives announced they were going under, I realized I would no longer be able to get their Smooth Operator exfoliator. And instead of stock piling beauty products in a panic I decided to search for other skin exfoliation options. For me, anything that can combine two steps in a single product is something I love. Since I have to wash my face daily (I never sleep with my makeup on) this is a great way for me to improve on my skin since exfoliating is one of those steps I tend to skip at times.
I’ve been working on getting the tone and texture of my skin to be smooth and even and I’m seeing small improvements. The thing about beauty routines is that you have to stick with them for a few months before you can truly see if you’re getting the results you want. I’ve always been an Oil of Olay moisturizer kind of girl, so in the evening I slather on a night cream and in the mornings I use their daily cream with an SPF.
The exfoliating side of the clothes aren’t rough like sandpaper, but you can definitely feel the exfoliation and I like the smooth side for helping to remove any traces of makeup around my eyes. Since I’m definitely seeing positive results, I’ll be heading back to Costco to get another box when this one runs out. Do you do a daily exfoliator? Have you tried the cloths? Let me know what you think about them.
