Today’s Shoe | Coach Clogs

clogsLately I’ve seen a lot of hating on clogs. Why? What did clogs ever do to you?!

I’ve said it a million times before on this blog that I’ve always been a clog girl and I just don’t understand what drives folks so nuts about them. I’m not wearing the white nurses clogs, or Crocs clogs. No, today I’m wearing a pair of Coach clogs I bought 4 years ago. That’s right, I said I bought them 4 years ago, maybe even longer. Clogs come in and out of fashion (just like platforms, kitten heels, wedges, etc) and every designer produces a pair every couple of years. I usually scoop up a pair (I’ve got Burberry clogs too) when I see a style or print that I like and keep wearing them until I want something new or am not in a clog kind of mood.

I do have a few clog lovers that read the blog and I’m going to try to do a few photos on how to wear different styles of clogs once I get some free time. But today I just thought I’d share what’s on my feet because they make me happy. They really do.

What do you think about clogs? If you hate them, please tell me why, I’d love to know what makes people think they’re so vile.

  1. I guess I’ve never liked clogs because I think they don’t make my legs look long and sexy. I think the way a person’s heel sticks out, it’s sort of unflattering. I guess if they are worn right, they work, but I think they are really difficult to get right!

  2. I agree that there is something that is just bothersome about the heel sticking out of the shoe. I have seen some clogs that have been worn fabulously and I feel that the current crop of these shoes popping up are more stylish than I remember. However, I just don’t know if they are the right shoe for me. I do like your Coach clogs, though! 🙂

  3. I’m all for clogs ladies and I love them with a ridiculously high heel and platform. They are surprisingly easy to wear. Love the cute Coach clogs and would totally rock those. I don’t understand why folks are up in arms about clogs either DWJ.

  4. I don’t think clogs would flatter my short frame. When I was a kid, my mom bought me pink clogs that she made me wear everywhere. I just remember them being heavy and uncomfortable. Maybe I have PTCD, post traumatic clog disorder.

  5. I HEART CLOGS TOO! I don’t know, I think they give my walk a little swagger. I wear my Dansko Red patent Clogs to work nearly every day. It is soooo nice to stand out from the Crocs/ Plogs/ Rubber Birkenstock crowd at the hospital. I honestly don’t think that clogs go out of style. I mean, some are a bit more trendy than others, but the basic clog is classic.
