Friday’s Fabulousness | Hunter Wellies

welliesIt’s a rainy spring Friday in DC. A bit chilly too but I know that these showers will only bring flowers once we’re in full blow spring. I can already see signs of spring since cherry blossoms are blooming all over the city. It’s so beautiful! I love this time of year.

Since it is so rainy today I thought I’d talk about wellies! I own a pair of Hello Kitty wellies but if you want something a bit more mature and classic, I’d suggest the Hunter Wellies. They come in a wide range of colors (I’ve seen silver!!) and if you want you can go classic with navy or a hunter green, but why? Why not perk up your rainy day with a glossy orange, magenta or yellow?!

That’s the reason why I love my pink Hello Kitty wellies, they make you want to splash around in puddles and they help make a grey day a bit brighter. The cool thing about Hunter Wellies is that you can also buy sock liners for them, so when it’s a really cold wintery day you don’t have to worry about your feet getting cold. GENIUS!

I’m hoping it doesn’t rain all weekend, my husband is running his first 10k and I’d rather not get soaked while waiting for him to cross the finish line. I’ve got a jam packed weekend that should be filled with fabulousness and I hope your weekend is fabulous too.

See you Monday!

  1. I’ve been thinking about buying Hunter Wellies for quite some time now. They are a bit pricey for me, but it rains often enough that I can get some good wear out of them. Plus, I do think they are cute. Good luck to your husband in his 10K and wishing you lots of sunshine!
