Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. I always feel like my weekends are so jam packed with events, especially in the summer. On Saturday I spent a little quality time with the family and my Mom showed off her bargain shopping skills. First, I have to say I love hanging out with my mother, she’s hilarious and so much fun (example, in the middle of seeing the movie Inception she said to me, “I’m done with Leo DiCaprio – D.O.N.E.” Clearly, it was not her favorite movie). I told her I needed an alternative to wearing a suit since this heatwave is killing me and I’m just not in the mood to wear a long sleeve jacket but I want to still look polished for an event this week (and perhaps I’ll take pics and share here on the blog). So she took me to Ross to see if I could find a bargain. Not only did I find a Maggy London dress for $22, my Mom spotted this AWESOME bag that my sister bought.
I am a fan of Lucky Brand patchwork bags. My sister HAW and I have very similar ones that we’ve owned for years. They’re just something so boho and fun about their patchwork and yet really modern. Well nothing gets as modern and absolutely adorable as the Lucky Brand Heart Patchwork Leather Hobo my sister ABW bought.
No seriously, how cute is this bag?
ABW was already in line about to buy 2 bags when my Mom spotted this bag. I said, “I think that’s a Lucky Bag, I can tell by the patchwork,” and I was totally right. The best part was the price tag was HALF of what it retails for on the link above. The original price was $190, the current price on Zappos is $150, the price ABW paid was $75. THAT is bargain shopping at it’s best and I definitely think my mother was happy to have helped us discover a few bargains. I almost raided the entire housewares section, so many Kitchenaid mixing bowls, wisks and the cutest pots and pans I’ve seen in a long time.
I love bargain shopping. Anybody find any great buys this weekend? I saw lots of tweets about the Nordstrom’s half yearly sale! Share!
