What Would You Like To See?

October is almost over and before I blink an eye it will be Thanksgiving! How did the holidays suddenly creep up on me? Well during this time I’m thinking about my Gift Guide and I want to make it useful to readers, because if it isn’t, what’s the point really?

If you’re new to the Art of Accessories, last year I did an online magazine style gift guide showcasing things I thought would be great gifts to give (or receive) for the holiday season. It had a pretty great response and several readers told me they clicked the link and shopped away. So would you guys want to see that again? What kinds of gift categories or types of people would you want me to find gifts for? I was also thinking about doing a holiday beauty and accessories guide to give folks an idea on how to glam it up a bit for different types of holiday parties. Would you be interested?

Leave me a comment, send me an email, let me know what you would like so I can get to work!

Thanks!

  1. A gift guide for the special man in your life would be nice. I think I remember you doing that before. Also a buying guide for how to glam up a LBD for all the holiday gatherings would be great. For me this year’s holiday clothing budget is limited so I would love to see how you can make one dress look diffrent so I can get more use out of it.

  2. I love the idea of how to dress up an LBD, I don’t have a big budget and that would be helpful. Also I like the makeup idea, how to really glam up my basics with a few pieces.

  3. How about good work/office “Pollyanna” gifts that are actually cool, less than $20, and are not a gift certificate. Things that people would really want to get for the holidays and things that you can’t wait for the person to unwrap because it’s fun or trendy and not just some gift card for the restaurant down the street.

  4. I agree with the person above me. It’s so hard to find gifts for people who you work with who you may or may not even like!

I also like all the custom gifts that you showed last year, like making custom ice cream or custom lip gloss. It’s a really easy, one stop way to go the extra little bit for somebody but still keep it simple.
