How To Accessorize | Feeling Like A Lady {Again}

ladylike
This is now 2 days in a row that I’ve taken pictures in the morning before work…YAY ME! Although next week it’s going to get colder again, so who knows what I’ll be doing. I’m trying to create a space in my house where the lighting is good and the backdrop is fairly calm…easier said than done. I have a ton of paintings and wild colors on my walls. Clearly, not the best environment for taking outfit photos but a wonderful environment for creating a happy living space.

I’ve been wearing dresses and skirts this week but felt lazy this morning when I hopped out of bed (and turned my swag on). I wanted to wear something easy and already ironed (my 2 criteria most mornings) but still feeling feminine. So I pulled out this blouse because I haven’t worn it since the fall when I showed it to you before.

In life there are lots of things that make me feel like an adult, a woman. Paying a mortgage, buying my car, having a big time job with responsibilities. In my closet there are few things that make me feel like a grown woman. Today I’m wearing 2 of them: a tie neck blouse and strong pink lipstick. I’m trying to incorporate more blouses into my wardrobe instead of scoop neck tees and camisoles, I’m trying to really have the wardrobe of a lady. I’m evolving. I’m growing up. Man, I’m 30+ so I guess it had to happen at some point, huh?

What I’m Wearing: Cardigan, August Silk (my favorite) | Blouse, ECI from Macy’s | Pants, Gap Outlet | Loafers, Off Saks 5th Ave | Lipstick, Nars Pure Matte Lipstick in Terre De Feu

How I’ve worn this blouse before:
