Lately I’ve been thinking about animal prints a lot. I don’t discriminate: giraffe, leopard, zebra, reptile…they’re all my neutrals. The add a little punch and pizazz to my wardrobe. But currently I’m stuck on a high/low kind of animal print lust and although I’m pretty sure I’ll go with the low, the high is really calling out to me.
The Dr. Martens 1461 3-Eye Hole in Leopard have been calling out to me since I saw them on a blog months ago. I’m also fond of their candy colors for spring, making Doc Martens appear so girly to me, but this animal print is adorable. I see myself wearing them with my dark wash skinnies with a wide cuff and a white scoop neck tee on the weekends and with wide leg trousers and light sweaters for work. Unfortunately, the $200 price tag is making me think twice about such a purchase.
Which leads me to my lower end splurge, the Swatch Animal Collection in Zebra print with bright and colorful faces. I can’t decide between the green (my favorite color in life), orange (a color that makes me happy) or pink (because what girl doesn’t like pink?). At $60, this is a more reasonable splurge that won’t break the bank and will still satisfy my animal print craving.
I just don’t know, which one would you pick?
