How to Accessorize | Bold Mix

Bold Mix
Happy Monday! Did you have a good weekend? My weekend was great, I got to see an old friend and her 2 very adorable kids, I did some relaxing, some knitting and a little shopping too. I’m slowly but surely trying to build up my wardrobe.

I was in LOFT over the weekend and I saw a really cute bright orange shift dress with exposed zipper and pockets. Of course it was the only item not on sale in the store and I wasn’t going to spend $80 on it. I was very pleased when I went into Target later on that day and found another bright orange dress with an exposed zipper but no pockets. I scooped it up for $24 and decided the bright color would be the perfect way to perk up my Monday morning.

I like mixing orange and purple and pink so I pulled out my cardigan that is a shade in between purple and pink for a great bold contrast. Add a leopard print belt, gold long strand necklace and black pointy toe flats and I’m good to go for the work day.

I had actually had on a brown pointy toe kitten heel earlier but they were rubbing my feet wrong this morning while I was standing in my kitchen. So black flats it is. I’ve also realized that in addition to my fall/winter clothes selection lacking, my shoes are lacking too. I need some basics like flats and moderate heels I can actually wear all day.

So that’s my bold mix for a Monday, what are you wearing?

What I’m Wearing: Dress, Target | Cardigan, August Silk | Belt, Marshalls | Necklace, Gift from my husband | Flats, Jessica Simpson | Bag, Cynthia Rowley (gift from my husband)
