I’m always excited when I receive a package from BareEscentuals. I just know it’s going to be something good – they never disappoint me. A few weeks ago I got a package with three great products I wanted to highlight today. The first is the new READY Blush. It is the latest edition to their READY line of solid mineral makeup and these colors pack a punch. My favorite is the French Kiss, a bright watermelon pink that builds nicely and gives off great color.
They’ve also added READY Bronzer in the solid mineral form and it has a very slight sheen to it that gives off a subtle glow. The bronzer and blush combo packs a gorgeous punch. I like to do a little bronzer on the face to help really make my cheeks pop. I also wanted to highlight a beauty look today that’s allergy season appropriate. My main allergy issue is that I get super itchy eyes – that’s it. So inevitably I end up rubbing off any eye makeup or mascara I’ve put on that day. In order to combat raccoon eyes I like to create looks that highlight my lips and cheeks with great pops of color and require nothing on my eyes.
The third product I wanted to highlight is the latest addition to the Buxom line, Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Cream. Out of all the lip glosses I own, I own the most of the Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Polish (some were sent to me but the majority of them I purchased myself because I love them so much) so I was excited to try the lip creams. They’re a more concentrated color without shimmer or sparkle – just creamy goodness. I’m very much in love with the Berry Blast color the most.
And this is the look I created using bronzer, blush and gloss to highlight my face without putting on a single eye product. I love the way this blush easily builds up in color and how light it is on the skin. And I’m so going to be wearing the Lip Creams all spring because the burst of creamy color is just fantastic. Has anyone tried any of the new BareEscentuals offerings yet? Let me know what you think? And what you do for your beauty routine during allergy season?
Can I say that I love that you smile when you do makeup pictures, you look so pretty. I also suffer from allergy eyes but then end up wearing no makeup and look scary. Perhaps I will try this trick and focus on lips and cheeks to distract from my red eyes.
Love! The pink looks great on you. I definitely need a good blush in my makeup stash.
Okay the color of that blush is making me swoon. Have you tried the allergy eye drops? They work miracles for me.
