Free Time! Baby Snuggles, Grilled Pizza & Knitting

If you know me personally, you know that I’m a very proud godmother. My godsons are adorable and wonderful and I can’t get enough hugs and kisses from my oldest (11) or the youngest (2 weeks). This is how I’ve been spending a lot of my free time lately, snuggling little Jax. I love him.

Since it’s summer, I’ve had summer hours and taken a few days off so I get to enjoy baby snuggles and I’ve been grilling a lot with the husband. Our new favorite thing to grill…PIZZA!! I’ve been using this pizza dough recipe and this recipe for pizza sauce and then adding my own toppings. I even did a pesto and pizza sauce mix! It’s soooooo good.
I’ve also been getting back into the swing of making baby blankets. I have a girlfriend who is due with a baby girl in August right before my birthday (yay for fellow Virgos!). She has a pink and brown color palette for her daughter’s room and her sorority is all about pink and green.
I’m almost finished but this is what it looks like on my needles right now. I really like this palette and the stitches I chose. I can’t wait to see it wrapped around her little one. So that’s what I’ve been doing with my free time, what about you?

  1. Congrats to your extended family’s new bundle of joy. Baby cuddles are definitely as amazing as they sound.

And P.S. … love the blankets colour combos. The one you’re working on now and Jax’s.
